Synopsis

As Scilla begins the journey to uncover the truth of the tragic events that took place to her son on his college campus, the path she’s on not only leads to changes in her life and worldview, but ultimately changes in her relationship with her son, which may turn out to be the biggest tragedy of all.

Chris DiGiovanni— Writer

Chris DiGiovanni is the author of several produced plays, including Twisted, a 2026 WiR winner to be produced at Theatre West in April 2026; The Claw; Near Meltdown, an award-winning, produced, and published monologue; Aftermath, a full-length workshop production; Weapons of Mass Deception, a full-length musical evening; and several one-act and ten-minute plays.

Many of her plays have been finalists in U.S. playwriting contests, including the Jerome Fellowships at the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis and the 2020 Todd McNerney Playwriting Award. Boundries is under option by Mixing It Up Productions. She has had staged readings, workshops, or productions in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Nantucket, Winnipeg, Queensland, and Charleston.

Marc Antonio Pritchett — Director

Marc Antonio Pritchett is a director, fight coordinator, and session singer. He is also a former artistic director at Sacred Fools Theatre Company. Previous directing credits include The Face of Emmett Till at La Mirada Theatre, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Divorce at Skypilot Theatre, and The Mousetrap at Theatre Palisades.

Garry Kluger — Producer

Garry Kluger is an author and award-winning playwright with three books, nineteen plays, two TV pilots, and twelve documentaries to his credit.

Garry’s plays A Thorn in the Family Paw and Walking in Space, which premiered at Theatre West, both won Best New Play from the Stage Scene L.A. Awards, with the former also winning Best Writer from the Valley Theatre Awards. He has produced Theatre Rocks, Turkey Tales, Love Is a Journey, Family Only, The Man Who Saved Everything, WestFest, Walking in Space, Sally Spectre, The Goddamn Couple Down the Hall, Cassatt, Twisted, and several other shows.

Crystal Yvonne Jackson — Scilla

Crystal Yvonne Jackson made her Equity debut playing Mama at ANW in The Bluest Eye. Other credits include Tillie in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Aunt Ruth in Marvin’s Room, and Ma Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, to name a few.

Crystal is also an associate artist with the theatre company Public Assembly and has had the pleasure of appearing in several short works. She recently wrapped the independent feature film The Preservation of Roux Lee in the role of Cami. Her producing credits include The Human Comedy, Marvin’s Room, She Loves Me, A Body of Water, The Water Tribe, and These Shining Lives, and she has served as production manager for Twelfth Night and You Can’t Take It with You.

Isaiah Frazilus — Jason

Isaiah Frazilus is an Orange County native who has trained extensively with acclaimed acting coach Howard Fine and vocal coach David Coury and has also studied with Larry Moss.

His stage credits include Martyna Majok’s Ironbound, in which he portrayed the role of Vic. His film work includes Press, Here Today, and Enough Said. Isaiah is deeply committed to truthful storytelling and is grateful to collaborate with this talented cast and creative team.

Monty Renfrow — Renton

Past stage credits include Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge, An Inspector Calls, Really Really, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Richard III, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Laughter on the 23rd Floor.

He is an alumnus of AMDA’s Studio Acting Program, Playhouse West, and LABYRINTH Theatre Company’s 2025 Intensive Ensemble. As always, the greatest thanks and gratitude go to his family and friends for their endless love, support, and inspiration.

Mimi Kmet — Assistant to the Director

Mimi is honored to be assisting the director of Twisted, her first full-length mainstage play in that capacity. Previously, she wrote and directed several short plays, including Leap and Fence. Both of these plays were produced at Theatre West, where she is a company member.

The play Matriarch, a radio play-style podcast, was produced for Open Door Playhouse. She also directed the podcast play Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best….; wrote Wildorado for The Group Rep, where she is also a member; and co-wrote My Trans Wife for Theatre West.

Sarah Acuna
Sarah Acuna — Stage Manager

Sarah Acuna is delighted to be a part of the Theatre West family as stage manager. Her previous work includes Incitation to the Dance, Sleighful of Songs, and The Age of Aquarius.

She holds a B.A. in theatre from California State University, Northridge. Sarah is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of her friends, family, and her dog, Milo.

Audrey Szot — Set Design

Audrey Szot is an L.A.-based scenic designer and artist. She has designed with Casa 0101, Towne Street, The Group Rep, East West Players, Long Beach Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare on the Bluff, and Loyola Marymount University; as well as assistant-designed with Boston Court and Center Theatre Group.

Audrey is also a carpenter and scenic painter for Antaeus Theatre Company, East West Players, and Boston Court.

Philip Sokoloff
Marc Antonio Pritchett — Sound Design

Philip Sokoloff — PR

Philip Sokoloff has been Theatre West’s resident publicist for 25 seasons. Also an actor, his Theatre West credits include Falling Upward, The Petrified Forest, It’s a Wonderful Life, Four Pilots, and Drunk and in Charge of a Bicycle.

He won the Best Actor Award at the 2025 Cannes Independent Shorts festival for his role in the short horror film Fritchi Manor.

Briana Burnside— Social Media

When Briana Burnside is not on stage, she works in social media and marketing at Theatre West. Combining her love for theatre and her background in acting, directing, and writing ensures engaging content that helps bring the arts community together.
