River Anthology on The Today Show - 1963
Play
In
1963 Theatre West developed a play version
of Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters,
and moved it to Broadway. Soon after it opened
Hugh Downs, full of praise for the production,
invited the cast onto The Today Show. Charles
Aidman, Robert Elston, Betty Garrett, Joyce
Van Patten, Naomi Caryl Hirshhorn and Hal
Lynch perform moments from the show.
